Security Cameras at a glance

Onamor
I have a lot to share about security cameras. Below are the ones I used and purchased, along with a link to a detailed review on a separate page. If you already know what you want, feel free to proceed. If not, maybe my experience can help you.

I used these security cameras solely for Mama's care as she developed dementia. They provided a way for me to ensure her safety and maintain her independence from halfway around the world. Being able to check in on her was invaluable to me.

They were installed everywhere - except - the bathroom. Not doing that and wouldn't advise that either.

I found that several of them had a lag - which means you get the picture a couple of seconds after the event has happened. I checked everything including lowering the resolution, a strong network connection, new batteries if wireless but overall not too bad since I was halfway across the world.
All of them allow for 30 days free recording, then there is a fee.
Some have Micro SD slots so you can monitor yourself without a monthly fee (purchase separately).

No tech knowledge needed. Just plug in, download whichever app is needed, connect to wifi, and bada bing!

INDOOR RING
One of the best for reliability and clarity.
Hardly a lag at all which was great.

OUTDOOR RING
Old faithful and still works very well. Everyone knows the sound the Ring doorbell makes when someone's at your door.

REOLINK
Tilt and pan. This was a good camera too.
Lots of different styles available. Very clear picture.

TAPO CAMERA - Pan/Tilt Home Security Wi-Fi Camera
Clear picture quality and pan and tilt.
Lots of different styles available.

BLINK CAMERA
Ah, my first venture into cameras. These little gems were ideal!
I have several wireless and several wired. Once I "upgraded" to the other cameras, I still kept these and used them discreetly.

Cameras are super easy to install. Most of the time the app that's required makes it easy - just follow it through. There are some cameras that don't need internet or wifi - but I personally did not want to risk that.
