Simplicity - and remotes may become an issue. It did with mama.
Try out a few and see which ones will suit then adjust as needed. There are lots however these are the ones I tried.

If you'd like to see exactly how I set up our home, along with the things that worked, the things that didn't, and how I adapted as dementia progressed, you'll find it all in my caregiving planning handbook. You can also learn more on my How I Can Help page.

Flipper Big Button Universal TV Remote for Seniors, Dementia - USA
It's a well known remote and credit due for this team for creating such an easy remote. Just volume, channel, on/off and mute. Done!

Memo24 Big Button TV Remote Control Replacement, Ideal for Elderly and Seniors. UK. Another good one - Power, Channel, Volume and Mute. Easy to use, easy to set up. Used this for a while as well until I changed to another remote.

EZclicker Big Button Universal Remote Control TV Control - USA
This one has different colours to differentiate Vol and channel. Good idea if someone has difficulty seeing.

Universal Big Button TV Remote for Seniors, Elderly - USA
Simple again - big buttons. On/Off, Channel Up, Channel Down, Volume Up, Volume Down and Mute. Easy to use. Easy to set up. Got a wrist strap too.

Big Button Universal Remote Control A-TV2 - USA & UK
Somewhere along the way, Ma couldn't use the above remotes. She would go through the channels too quickly. Get mixed up with volume and channel. So this one, with some tweaks worked for over a year. Had 3 of them.

Geemarc TV10 - Easy-to-use Universal Remote Control - UK
Another simple remote! Note: will need the ORIGINAL TV REMOTE FOR PAIRING.

Have you used any of these? What did you think? Are there others you think work better? Add in the comments below.
