These big button phones are ideal for the elderly and worked well for my mama, who has dementia. They are landline-only and feature large buttons for easy dialing and customizable volume settings, perfect for those who are hard of hearing. They also have one-touch memory keys, with the number of keys varying by model to suit different needs. Some models include SOS buttons and visual flashers for added safety.
These phones are not cordless for a reason—my mama often misplaced the cordless phone, making it difficult to locate. Since I live far away, this was especially problematic when I tried to call her. I purchased a few of these phones and customised them to meet our needs. (Note that some styles might differ from country to country.)
For cordless phones, I used a couple of super easy models until her dementia progressed.

Picture button phone for seniors and dementia. Big button phone and you can add people or names and your loved one has the ability to one click dial. Extra loud ringer for the hard of hearing. Pick up, one touch and you're through to whomever you called. Extra loud ringer if needed

SMPL Big Button Phone. Here's another one that has 6 picture dial and then large numbers. This one is more for someone that wants the freedom of dialing numbers. I had both this and the one above and they both worked although I personally preferred this one.

Now this is a LARGE button phone! It only has 2 memory buttons but this is ideal for seniors with poor eyesight And there is an SOS button. Loud ringer too.
To reiterate, I'm hesitant to suggest cordless as eventually they will be misplaced.
Mama would walk out into the garden with it, put it in a drawer, and sometimes who knows where and I would need someone to go searching around for it. Not ideal if your PWD lives alone and you are miles away. However see below for some that may work for a while.

V-Tech -USA
Like most cordless handsets, this needs a main base unit to operate. However the big buttons and photo dials are great for those that have trouble dialing out.

Geemarc handset - UK
Again MAIN base unit required to operate. Pricy when you purchase both. The handset has 3 pictures and an SOS!
Have you used any of these? What did you think? Are there others you think work better? Add in the comments below.
