What is the purpose of this site and why did you start it?
As I explain in the About Me section, I created this site to help others avoid the struggles I went through. When I was caring for my loved one from overseas, I couldn’t find any resources, either in the UK or USA, that addressed the unique challenges of long-distance caregiving. This site is here to fill that gap and provide support for those in similar situations.

Have you been paid to review the products you link to?
No, I haven't been paid to review these products. However, I may earn a small commission if you purchase something through my links; this will be noted on the page. If you find any of these products at a lower price elsewhere, please share that information on the blog for others! I'm all for "deals"!

Is this a non-profit site? How do you make money?
No, this is not a non-profit site. I cover the hosting fees and other expenses to keep the website running. I hope to receive support from visitors like you, which is why there is a membership section and a "buy me a coffee" option in the forum. If I were independently wealthy, I would love to offer everything for free, but life has taken a different path for me. You can read more about my journey in the About Me section.
Why did you decide to consult with people about caring for a person with dementia?
I started this journey from personal experience. Navigating the challenges of caregiving alone has been a painful and isolating process. Creating effective care plans takes time, and after four long years of accumulating knowledge, I realised I was spending weeks writing care plans for others. That’s when it dawned on me that I could turn this passion into a consulting opportunity to help others.

There are a lot of products on your blog—did you buy all of them?
Yes, I did, over the course of those four years! I often joke that the inside of Mama's house ended up being more expensive than the house itself!

What’s your review process?
My review process is based on hands-on experience and trial and error. Whilst I have used most of the products I recommend, I’m transparent about those I haven’t personally tried. For those, I’ve done thorough research and relied on feedback from others who have found them helpful.

Why are there no pictures - of you or your Mama?
Simply put - I've a very private person. So was Ma. She would not like to be "showcased" (even though she looks better than me!) and since she can't consent to the pictures, then I need to respect that.
